GO Crickets!!
Zander had his first kickball game on Saturday. When we got there and he saw the other teams playing, he was excited to play. He proudly went up to the coach and picked the number 4 as his number and put on his maroon kickball shirt.
After that, he decided he was finished. He wanted to take the shirt off and go home. I was worried I would not be able to convince him to go out there and kick the ball. After a few minutes of coaxing, he again was excited to go out on the field. He ran out with the other team members and practiced kicking the ball.
Here he is waiting for his turn to step up to the plate. He did very well!
He kicked the ball on the first pass. Than he was a little confused as to what to do, but he ran where he was told and stood on 1st plate until it was time to run again.
You should have seen his smile, it was great!

"Challenge Blog" Blog Hop Entries
Scrap Sketch is having a blog hop where you are essentially led on a trail to different blogs with some sort of scraping challenge. I had a lot of fun looking at each of the blogs and reading the challenges. I made a scrapbook page that qualifies in 3 different challenges, so below is my layout, and the blog challenges I've entered it in...
1. I used the challenge sketch on Scrap Sketch. (The layout follows the sketch.)
2. I used the inspiration "Lets get down and dirty," on Creative Twist. (The boys are playing in the sand box together. The title reads, "Getting Dirty and Having Fun." One of the caution signs also reads, "Caution Dirt Flying.)
3. I used the theme "sweet" with glitter and stamping from Chirper Challenge. (The journaling on this page reads, "How SWEET is it that you have a cousin the same age as you to dig in the dirt with!" There is glitter in the background letter paper and in the little paper strip of monkeys. I used a stamp to create the lines under the journaling & the x's across the journal paper.)

Last Thursday, Zander stayed the night at his Papa's house. So, Mason and I had all day Friday by ourselves. It was fun to have just one kid for a day. We went to lunch with Daddy, did some shopping, and played at home together. This is a picture I took with the timer on my camera while I was crawling around on the floor playing with Mason.
Are you the Mom who's always taking pictures and look back only to realize you aren't IN any of them? Do your kids look through photo albums and ask "Where were you Mommy?" Well, Carin over at Forever in Blue Jeans decided to change all that and challenges any one who's interested to do the same. So hand over the camera, or at least figure out the self-timer and get on the other side of the lens more often. Post your photos of you enjoying time with your family every Thursday and share the link with other Mom's by posting it on Carin's blog. You can start any time with week 1 of 52, don't worry about being "behind" just jump on in.

Whatchya' Think?
I found this super cute halloween costume, and I absolutely love it. But, I wasn't sure if I should get the 12-18 month size or the 6-12 month size. I went with the bigger one and I think it may be too big. Do you think I should go back and exchange it for the smaller one? There's still a month before Halloween, but he won't get that much bigger, right? So, leave a comment and tell me what you think.

Rainy Day Comparison
My two boys, both between 9-10 months old, watching the rain from the same sliding glass door. I was looking back at Zander's baby scrapbook and saw this picture of him. It just so happened it was raining that day, so I put Mason in front of this door to get the same picture. I was excited to put the two next to each other to see the similarities and differences in them. (I should have put that same outfit on him, oh well.) To me, they are total opposites, but other people tell me they are similar, so you make your own judgement.

Boy; a noise with dirt on it.
My friend, Andrea, found a cool scrapbook blog with some fun sketches that she shared with me today. I liked it so much, I had to make the challenge sketch for this week. So, without further ado, here is my version of the sketch for this week on Scrap Sketch.

A sweet picture of me, rocking my little man to sleep. He has had a fever since Tuesday, after going to the doctor for his check-up. I'm not sure if it's the flu shot, the teething or something he caught from the doctor's office. I'm hoping it goes away soon.

My best friend, Melissa, and I at her daughters birthday party. We live so close to each other and rarely see one another. But, we are still good friends and enjoy it when we do get the chance to get together.
