Day Out with Thomas 2010

Friday, October 1st, Thomas the Train was here at the Austin Steam Station. The boys and I went with our friends, Dana, Evan, and Colin, to see Thomas. I didn't really want to take them to ride on the train. But, when we got there that is all Zander really wanted to do. So I gave in and bought some tickets for us to ride Thomas. They both really enjoyed it and we had a lot of fun. The got to play with some of the trains sets, make a page with some Thomas stamps, get Thomas tatoos, do a mini golf course, run through an inflatable train, listen to storytime, and get some balloon characters. It was a fun filled day!

My best friend, Melissa, and I at her daughters birthday party. We live so close to each other and rarely see one another. But, we are still good friends and enjoy it when we do get the chance to get together.

Improvising

Our city finally got a spary park and we were excited to go try it out! So, we got our suits and sunscreen on and loaded the bags with snacks and towels and headed out the door. We arrived at the park, which is only 5 minutes from the house (yippie for that!), ready for some water fun! I got the boys and all our stuff out of the car and noticed the water was not on and other people were getting back in thier cars. Our brand new spray park was not working and wouldn't be fixed until MAYBE later that afternoon :(


So, we settled for playing in the sun at the playground across the street. I didn't really want to return home after loading up to play outside. We ended up having a pretty good time in the sun, although there was no water to run in.


Of course we had some friends join us. I got this really great shot of all the kids. I'm very happy with it, if you have kids, you know how hard it is to get a good group photo. Don't we have some cute kids!??!

5*14*09 Scrap Page

I didn't go to scrapbook tonight, but I did make a page & wanted to show it off. I used my fancy new All-in-One Kodak printer to print these photos and got to work. These are the pictures from last week when I let Cali & Zander snap a few shots with my camera.

The title didn't turn out quite as I wanted it too, but it'll have to do. I think maybe I should have left the flower piece of paper off, but it's a little too late for that. Cali & Zander's names are kinda' hard to read, although they look easy to read here.

All in all, I think it turned out cute and I'm excited to have this page for Zander and I to look back on someday.

Mason's 1st Swim

After nap time on Thursday, we were invited over to a friend's house to play in the water and have dinner. Daddy was working late, so we thought it was a great idea. Zander's buddy, Diego, kept telling me he wanted Mason in the water. So, I decided to let him try it out. He wasn't real sure about the water at first. It kind of took his breath away. He didn't ever get upset, though. After a few minutes in the water, I took his onesie off and but on some swimming shorts. He looked super cute in those little swimming trunks! I took him back to the water, and he really enjoyed it. He was splashing around and watching the big kids play. I think he enjoyed his 1st swim! And we all had a great time spending the evening with our friends!

Having Fun with Our Buddies

Thursday, we meet our friends, Andrea, Cali, and Diego, at the park for a little bit of play time. The kids really seem to enjoy this nice, new park under the trees. Mason also enjoyed the park, in the front pack. He seemed to like watching the kids play and run around. It was a nice day and we enjoyed spending some time outside.



I let Zander take the camera for a few minutes, and he go some really good shots. Cali took a try, too. Check out their photo skills here then, go to Andrea's blog and check out the video of them.

Day Trip

Friday, I invited some friends out to the property to get some bluebonnet pictures. We didn't get very many, as the kids were not very cooperative. I did get a really good one of Papa's dog, Shadow, and some good ones of the boys climbing in the dirt.

After our unsuccessful attempt at the bluebonnet pictures, the kids were hungry so we headed up to Papa's yard for a picnic. After eating, the kids found a caterpillar in the trees and had a great time trying to feed it some leaves.

Diego and Zander always have fun together. I got a few pictures of them playing. I'm excited to have these. We don't have very many of them together, and they are such great buddies I want to have pictures to show Zander when he gets older.

Of course Mason was with us as well, but I didn't get many pictures of him. I did get this one of him playing with Papa. He is so good with the boys, they are lucky to have him!

It was a fun day! Thank you Papa for all the goodies you gave the kids (The Moms appreciated it!) and for letting us spend the day on the property with you!

Oh, I nearly forgot! My friend did take some pictures of Mason that she emailed me. This is my favorite one of my super cute little man.

Doesn't that look delicious??!!? It was! It was featured on my friend, Andrea's blog and I requested it for my birthday. Being such a great friend, she came through and made one for me. This was my birthday dessert, and it was super yummy! Thank you guys for celebrating me. I loved my scrapbook stuff & I enjoyed visiting with you.
